In the time of me making this post, I learned that I do not need the NVR as it’s just a 500gb hard drive with software. I can just throw the software on a VM and have it write to my server. And save the 300. Because I received my edgeswitch that has PoE capabilities, I was tempted to install some Unifi cameras.
The idea I envision:
- Camera 1: Front door & driveway
- Camera 2: Backdoor, Birdfeeders, & garden (damn deer).
- Camera 3: Internal – Kitchen? Hallway?
